TestRX is a natural testosterone boosting supplement that has the aim of helping men achieve their optimal health and vitality. In this TestRX review, I am going to be putting their claims to the test to find out whether their list of organic ingredients really does work.

In order to do this, I will be taking a look at TestRX in great detail – from the company behind it and its promises, right down to actual results.

I will look at who TestRX is aimed at, to help you decide whether this could be the product for you. You’ll also discover how TestRX works – its all-important ingredients list, and why TestRX have included each one.

Finally, I will get to put TestRX through its paces and find out whether it actually works, before I reveal my conclusions.

Testoprime – our preferred alternative

TestoPrime bottle

TestRX is an effective and completely natural supplement that will support the amount of testosterone produced in your body. Although subtle to begin with, it did work for me.

It’s aimed at men aged 40 plus, but could well work for anyone with low testosterone levels. It does contain gelatin, therefore unsuitable for vegans or vegetarians.

TestRX is a good testosterone booster – however, I prefer to use TestoPrime. Its slightly cheaper, and provides a longer-lasting and punchier effect.

Both are great, but TestoPrime’s the best.

What is TestRX?

TestRx is, in simple terms, a dietary supplement for men, with the expressed aim of supporting the amount of testosterone that can be produced.

So, why is this important? Testosterone helps us in many areas of our lives – it helps with bone mass, the production of red blood cells, fat distribution, muscle mass, production of sperm, strength, and our sex drive/performance. It can also help us to maintain focus and boost our memory as we get older.

The people behind TestRX understand the critical role Testosterone can play, and have produced TestRX to help men that may be struggling with any of the issues above. It has to be said, the main focus of their marketing is with building up muscle and strength – their website claims that “You should have more energy, faster recovery, and bigger muscles”, when you take TestRX.

TestRx is made by a company called Leading Edge Health – they are major players in the supplement and nootropic industry. You may have heard of some of their other products such as BrainPill or GenF20®Plus.

Leading Edge Health have been in business for over 20 years, based in Canada, and now sell to over 120 countries in the world. That kind of background and survived experience in a big industry does add a little bit of reassurance when looking at a product like this.

TestRX is one of their most popular products, but let’s find out exactly who it is aimed at.

Who Should Use TestRX?

If you’re an over-18 male, you are in the target market for TestRX. As all of the ingredients are natural, there is nothing medical that should deter this audience – but it does contain gelatin, so it is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.

Naturally, though, someone who should use a testosterone boosting supplement is someone who is suffering from a drop in their testosterone levels.

Identifying that your testosterone levels have dipped may not be that straightforward – life isn’t a computer game where you have various bars at the side of the screen telling you your current status. We need to listen to what our body is trying to tell us, and give it what it needs.

There are various signs that you might be low in testosterone, and could therefore benefit from TestRX:

  • Feeling tired and lacking motivation
  • Struggling with weight gain and finding it hard to lose weight
  • Struggling with sexual health and performance (low libido)
  • Finding it takes a long time to recover after a workout

Any of these could mean that your testosterone levels are a bit low. This tends to happen more in men that are over 30, and it’s perfectly natural – I think it’s important to address the stigma that is attached to men that struggle with lower testosterone. It’s a natural occurrence – inevitable, in fact.

I would like to add at this point, though, that if you are concerned about any of the symptoms here, it is best to see a trained medical professional. While all of the symptoms could point to low testosterone, it is by no means the only cause, and it is best to see a doctor and get their opinion if you are worried.

Benefits Of TestRX

Following on from that then, what can you hope to gain from taking TestRX? Let’s take a look at what the people behind TestRX claim it can do for you:

Increased Muscle Mass

There is a clear, scientifically proven link between testosterone levels and muscle mass.

Testosterone helps to generate proteins, a process called protein synthesis, which in turn helps to build up muscle strength. So the theory here is pretty clear – an increase in testosterone will eventually lead to an increase in muscle mass.

There is another way that testosterone can help, although it is slightly more indirect: Testosterone can help post-workout recovery, which means that you will be ready for another workout sooner. So you will have more opportunity to build muscle, and reduce the amount of fatigue you get from a workout. There will be no stopping you!

Fuelled Energy

A common symptom of low testosterone levels is low energy. You may have felt that lack of zip, the lack of motivation – that ‘grab the bull by the horns’ mindset has just gone.

This could all be a sign of low testosterone. It can even cause chronic fatigue, and it’s not just limited to physical performance – mental fatigue, which can impact our career and social lives, is also very common in men with low testosterone levels.

So by taking TestRX, the energy boost will put that engine power back into your drive, which leads to a whole host of physical and mental advantages.

Boosted Strength

At first you might think that this claim is superfluous, given that they’ve already mentioned an increase in muscle mass; but it’s a common misconception that more muscle mass means more strength, and vice versa.

The two are certainly linked, and the result from a boost in testosterone levels (quicker recovery, more intense workouts, etc.) will obviously help. Strength is also linked to the nervous system, and some of the ingredients in TestRX can help in this area too.

Achievable Weight Loss

If you are low in testosterone, you may find it very difficult to lose weight. Testosterone is in charge of the metabolic function in your body, which in turn helps you to burn fat.

The theory, therefore, is that the more testosterone you have, the quicker you can burn fat. Add to that the more energy you have for longer and more intense workouts, and you can see what an important role testosterone plays in weight loss.

Spiked Sex Drive

Testosterone is the male sex hormone, so the links between your testosterone levels and sex drive are obvious. If you are low on testosterone, you are more likely to suffer from a lower libido and even erectile dysfunction.

This is another symptom that men traditionally are not very good at talking about – but it is something that affects around 52% of men between the ages of 40 and 70.

Ingredients In TestRX

The people behind TestRX describe it as the ‘Most comprehensive formula‘ to boost your testosterone levels – so let’s take a closer look at each ingredient.

Zinc Monomethionine – 10 mg

The first three ingredients on the list make up a compound of ingredients which is called ZMA – referred to as a ‘muscle booster’ on the TestRX website.

The first ingredient, zinc monomethionine, is very closely linked to testosterone production. One study in 2000 found that a daily zinc intake of 30 mg dramatically increased testosterone levels. There is only 10 mg in TestRX, but that should be enough to feel some benefit when combined with the other ingredients.

Magnesium Aspartate – 200 mg

Magnesium has a similar impact to zinc when it comes to testosterone, and they are often both used together in supplements. A study in 2011 looked at the impact of magnesium on testosterone levels, and they found that “Free plasma testosterone levels increased at exhaustion before and after supplementation compared to resting levels”.

Interestingly, the impact was far greater when magnesium supplementation was combined with exercise.

Vitamin B6 – 5 mg

The research into the relationship between vitamin B6 and testosterone isn’t as conclusive as the other ingredients that we’ve looked at, but one thing we know for sure is that vitamin B6 is linked to energy levels as it helps the way you process food.

A boost in energy is as important as a boost in testosterone for most of the desired benefits of taking TestRX, so its inclusion is validated here.

Fenugreek Seed Extract – 300 mg

More science for you now! Fenugreek can do wonders for your testosterone levels and, as a result, your sexual health. A study found that when 50 men took 500 mg of fenugreek every day for 12 weeks, 90% of them increased their testosterone levels by up to 46%.

Fenugreek is important for anabolic and androgenic activity in our bodies.

Vitamin D3  – 1,140 IU

It’s thought that around 35% of adults have a vitamin D deficiency – and this can lead to low testosterone. While vitamin D supplements won’t have a very big impact on your testosterone if you have sufficient vitamin D in your body, if you are low, this can give you a much-needed boost.

D-Aspartic Acid – 2,300 mg

D-Aspartic acid has a crucial role in the production of the Luteinising Hormone (LH), which in turn stimulates the production of testosterone in the pituitary gland. Similar to vitamin D3, if you are low on D-Asp, taking a supplement will help greatly; but if your levels are already quite high, you probably won’t find as big an effect.

Vitamin K2

So far, the only tests done on the relationship between vitamin K2 and testosterone have been done on rats – however, it has pointed to a positive relationship between the two. Obviously more research is needed to establish the extent to which this applies to humans, but vitamin K2 is strongly linked to cardiovascular health and bone strength.

Does TestRX Work?

Let’s cut to the chase here: Yes, TestRX does work. It is packed full of ingredients that are clinically proven to help boost your levels of testosterone, to varying degrees. But while the theory is up to scratch, I wanted to see for myself, so I gave it go. This is what I found.

My main motivation for taking a testosterone-boosting supplement like TestRX is that I struggle, and have for a long time, with two things – energy levels and losing weight.

For a long time I put this down to having young children, but at some point you have to stop making excuses and do something about it. Low testosterone levels would explain my symptoms, so I started taking TestRX.

To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed for the first couple of weeks. I was still quite sluggish, and I wasn’t losing any weight. To be fair, it’s supposed to take a while to see any benefits, so I decided to stick with it for a few more weeks to see. I’m glad I did.

In the third week, I felt something. It wasn’t a huge wave of raw power or energy; it was much more subtle than that. But I can remember the exact moment – I had just dropped my kids off at school, and I had the urge to go for a run before I sat down to start work. It had been a long time since I had that feeling, so I dusted down my running gear and got out there.

The next day, riding the wave of feeling positive about myself, I went to the gym. My energy and desire to work my body felt great. It gave me the boost I needed to book in a few more sessions at the gym the following week – and I’ve kept it up ever since.

The best way I can describe it, is that I feel like I used to feel – you know, before I had kids and had all the time in the world!

Just to be clear, though, the initial change was quite discreet – a little nudge in the right direction. I have done the rest – I have been motivated to keep it up, and I am delighted with how it’s going. I have lost weight for the first time in years, when it felt like it would never happen.

When And How To Take TestRX

The recommended dose is four capsules daily – two taken in the morning and two taken in the afternoon. The idea here is that it spreads the benefit that you feel throughout the day.

Are There Any Side Effects For TestRX?

As TestRX is made from all-natural ingredients, no side effects have been reported from people that use TestRX.

As with any supplement, though, you should be careful to follow the recommended dose, and if you do experience any side effects, seek advice from a medical professional.

TestRX Costs And Where To Buy

TestRX isn’t cheap – but to be honest I don’t think you should necessarily look for the cheapest option when you are buying health supplements. A month’s supply (120 capsules) is available on their website for $69.99 – but there are discounts if you buy in higher quantities.

Top Alternatives To TestRX

Since I first tried TestRX, and realised the potential of testosterone boosting supplements, I have tried others. I have to say that while I thought TestRX was great, I found TestoPrime to be the pick of the bunch. It gave me a more intense and longer-lasting boost, and even worked out slightly cheaper as well.

I’m a fan of TestRX, and it did have a big albeit gradual impact on me – but TestoPrime is a fantastic supplement, and well worth your consideration.

Final Thoughts

If you are worried that you might be a little bit low in testosterone, then TestRX is a good supplement to try and rectify that. It’s completely natural, so there a minimal concerns for side effects, and it is packed full of ingredients that are clinically proven to help boost testosterone levels.

While it will work for men of all age groups, it is particularly effective in men over 40, who are more likely to experience a drop in testosterone.

An important note, though – you will only get the benefit if you also implement a healthy lifestyle with exercise and a good diet. This is a supplement to your efforts, and not a magic pill that will build muscle and burn fat without you doing anything. You will get a boost to help you on your way, and then it’s up to you.

There are few better testosterone boosting supplements than TestRX (TestoPrime being one), so it is a great place to start if you think you may benefit from this kind of product. The boost it gives you is gentle, but you will notice a benefit after a few weeks. Give it a go.
